I INITIATED FIVE CHILDREN INTO CULTISM - ARRESTED CULTIST
A cultist identified as Somtochukwu Onyebuchi has said he initiated about five children into a secret cult in Anambra.
Somtochukwu was one of the 103 suspected cultists paraded by the Anambra State Police Force on Sunday, July 26th, 2020.
Somtochukwu, a 20-year-old barber who hails from Ogidi in Idemili Local Government Area of the State, said he regretted his action and blamed it on the devil.
He told the police that he had a way of getting underage persons to trust him.
Somtochukwu said he benefitted nothing from the cult he joined over five years ago and warned other cult members to have a rethink before they were caught.

He said, “I’ve been a member of the JVC since 2015, and I have initiated about five underage children. I have a way of convincing them to join willingly,” he told police at the weekend at the command headquarters, Awka, the state capital.
“I regret engaging in the act because I can’t even boast of what I’ve benefited since I joined. I advise other members to come out so they won’t be caught.”
Police spokesman in Anambra, Haruna Mohammed, said Onyebuchi had been on the police wanted list for some time.
Haruna said Somtochukwu initiated so many children into the cult. He stated that he led the police to ther hideout and two underaged persons were arrested.
He added that they would be arraigned after investigations.
