NDLEA ARRESTS HIGH TECH CAR HIJACKER AND BRAIN BOX THIEF IN LAGOS
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested one high tech criminal and car hijacker, identified as Ogbonna Chikwendu, on Saturday, July 25, at Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
The criminal was said to have been involved in several acts of stealing brain boxes and automatic glass tapping buttons from stationery vehicles.
Report says Chikwendu specialises in breaking into vehicles, especially Toyota corolla and Toyota Hilux.
The suspect was caught while trying to remove a side mirror from one immobile SUV at Reeve road, after he had successfully removed three brain boxes from three different cars along Ruxton road in Ikoyi.
The operatives, on sighting the criminal and his accomplice, chased after them resulting in the apprehension of Chikwendu.
The suspect is currently in custody of the NDLEA as at the time of compiling this report.
He would be handed over to the Ikoyi Police Division for further investigation on the other fleeing criminal.
