TWO DIE AS PIRATES ATTACK TWO VESSELS ON NIGERIA WATERS

Reports indicate that pirates has attacked two vessels on Nigeria waters, leaving two personnel dead.


The first vessel was attacked by the assailants 17NM West of Okwori terminal, in the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria while heading to a meeting point. 


It had 8 Crew, a PMSC Liaison Officer, and 7 Navy Personnel, as at the time the pirates attacked the vessel.


The second vessel was attacked on Wednesday around 9.30pm at Brass, Bayelsa State, Nigeria.


Eons Intelligence had earlier reported that pirates attacked a vessel on Thursday at Brass, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, killing a naval officer in the process.

The vessel was attacked at about 200nm south of brass.


Eons Intelligence has reported a number of pirate attacks on vessels in Brass, Bayelsa State.


On January 13, 2021, an unnamed vessel was attacked by an unspecified number of pirates.


Similarly, on December 22, 2020, it was reported that pirates made unsuccessful attempts to attack a tanker in Bayelsa State
