IGP Appoints CSP Benjamin Hundeyin as New Force PRO

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the appointment of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO).


CSP Hundeyin, a seasoned communicator, holds a BA in English Language from Lagos State University and an MSc in Legal Criminology & Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He also earned a Certificate in Civil-Military Coordination from the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji.


He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).


Hundeyin has held several key positions, including Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Lagos, and Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Abuja. He also served with the Nigerian contingent to the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, in 2020. Until this appointment, he was the Police PRO for Lagos State Command.

The IGP urged him to leverage his professional expertise to strengthen public relations within the Force and deepen engagement with citizens.
