IGP PARTNERS AKWA IBOM GOVERNMENT ON RETREAT FOR DIGs, AIGs, CPs IN UYO
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has announced a partnership with Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel to facilitate the successful host of a 2-day conference for Deputy Insectors General of Police (DIGs), Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs), as well as other Heads of Police Formations in the City of Uyo on the 7th and 8th of February, 2022.
The Conference and Retreat is themed; "The New Police Vision: A Roadmap for Stabilizing Internal Security in Nigeriaā€¯. CP Frank Mbah in a press release on Wednesady stated that the conference is part of efforts by the current Police leadership to collaborate with critical stakeholders in driving a proactive and efficient policing vision in Nigeria.
He said the retreat will help evolve a new roadmap for stabilizing internal security and avail Police Strategic Managers with contemporary and vantage opportunities to effectively deliver on their mandates.
The statement read in part; "It will also afford the Police leadership the opportunity to identify and set measurable crime fighting agenda for the Force in the year 2022."
The Conference and Retreat is also expected to provide an opportunity for the Force and carefully selected Public Safety Experts to engage in peer review and cross fertilization of ideas heared towards improving iinternal security in Nigeria.
Issues relating to the modernization and re-orientation of the Force will also be in the front burner, according to the Police boss. The IGP assured of concerted efforts at improving service delivery, public safety and better crime management in the new year and beyond.
