INSECURITY: BANDITS GIVE 48HRS TO FAMILY OF ABDUCTED VICTIMS TO PAY N50M OR BOTH MOTHER, NEWBORN BABY AND SISTERS WOULD BE KILLED
The family of a pregnant housewife that gave birth in captivity, the new baby and her two sisters in Kaduna State, have been given 48hrs ultimatum to pay N50 million ransom by bandits or receive their corpses.
Available reports indicate that the family offered the bandits N6.5 million but was vehemently rejected by the kidnappers.
One among the abducted ladies Zainab, who was heavily pregnant when they were kidnapped reportedly gave birth in captivity without recourse to medical or human care for both mother and child. They were subjected to harsh weather conditions, eating and drinking whatever is available in the forest.
On Sunday, September 25, 2022, it was learnt that the suspected bandits while speaking with the family of the abducted threaten to kill both the newborn baby, the mother and the sisters if a ransom of N50 million is not made available in the next two days.
Recall that the three sisters were kidnapped on July 17, 2022, in Mando community Kaduna at their family house, where they came to look after their old mother, who has been ill.
