JIHADISTS KILL 8 SOLDIERS IN CHAD

No fewer than eight Chadian soldiers were reportedly killed by landmine laid by suspected jihadists on Wednesday, July 8, sources say. 


The blast occurred at Kalam in the Lake Chad region, according to sources. 


Reports indicate that the vehicle of the soldiers was struck by the landmine laid by the gunmen which led to the death of the gallant soldiers, leaving   at least 11 soldiers wounded.


The Chadian military said one of the fatalities was a Commander in the gendarmeries, adding that exchanges of gunfire occurred later on Wednesday between the troops and jihadists  in Bakaram, in the region, Times of India says. 


This is coming barely a week after the senior leadership of Boko Haram/ISWAP and members of the Shura council sacked the most powerful jihadist warlord in-charge of all terrorist activities and operations along the Tunbums of Lake Chad axis – Amir Baba Kaka, Eons Intelligence reports.


Amir Baba Kaka was dismissed for losing operational command and control of jihadist remote camps in the lake chad axis, after failing to retain trust and loyalty of several unit commanders.

He was also found guilty of failing to organise a defence mechanism against Chadian and MNJTF security and Armed Forces during the ‘Operation Boma Wrath’ battle, which was launched under the direct battlefield command of President Idriss Deby, which led to the death of about 1000 Boko Haram ISWAP jihadist including unit commanders in the Lac Islands.


Sources reveal that Boko Haram Terrorists have killed 35,000 people and displaced about two million from their homes since 2009 in Northeast Nigeria.
