KADUNA GOVERNMENT DEMOLISHES SEX PARTY HOTEL, ARRESTS ORGANIZERS
The Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority(KASUPDA) has demolished a hotel that was to host the maiden edition of the “Kaduna Sex Party,” citing a violation of COVID-19 protocols.
This was disclosed in a tweet by the agency on Thursday, December 31 after pulling down the structure.
“KASUPDA have demolished Asher Hotel in Barnawa Kaduna South. Asher Hotel was the proposed venue for the Kaduna Sex Party, the hotel was also caught contravening the Covid-19 guidelines of the state,” the tweet read.
The agency vowed that it “will not hesitate to demolish properties used for such [an] immoral act.”
The Public Relations Officer of the KASUPDA, Nuhu Garba, explained that the property located at Sabon Tasha area in Chikun Local Government Area of the state was pulled down after the organisers of the aborted sex party were arrested by security operatives.
He noted that the demolition exercise is in accordance with the laws guiding the agency over properties in the state and also vested in the agency the power to demolish any building that contravenes the rights of occupancy.
On Tuesday, December 30, the Kaduna State Police Command also arrested the organizers of the Party
The aborted sex party, which was promoted on social media, was slated for December 27, 2020, at an undisclosed venue in the Kaduna capital.
