KATSINA GOVERNMENT BEGINS ADMINISTRATION OF SECOND DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE
Katsina State Government has flagged off the second dose of the Covid-19 Vaccination exercise across the State and to kick start the exercise, the Governor of Katsina State, Governor Alhaji Bello Masari received the second round of Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
Governor Masari received the second dose of the Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccine alongside the Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu who is the State Chairman of Emergency Response Committee on Covid-19.
Others who received the second dose of the vaccine include members of the State Executive Council, the State Chief Judge Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar and the Personnel Aids to the Governor.
The rest include some Executive of Government Departments, Agencies and Parastatals and other Government officials.
Speaking shortly after the State Commissioner of Health Engineer Nuhu Yakubu Danja explained that the second dose of the vaccine would be available after six to eight weeks of the first round of the exercise as enshrined by the law governing the administration of the Vaccine.
The Health Commissioner said a total of fifty two thousand five hundred and thirty eight doses were so far distributed in the first round of the exercise.
He said a total of two thousand two hundred and twenty one Intending Pilgrims were vaccinated.
Engineer Nuhu Yakubu Danja therefore appealed to all those who received the first dose of the vaccine to endeavor and receive the second dose of the Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
