KIDNAPPING: BOARD VEHICLES FROM DESIGNATED MOTOR PARKS- OGUN POLICE WARNS
The Ogun State Police Command has appealed to members of the public to avoid boarding roadside commercial vehicles to avoid falling into the hands of kidnappers.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police PRO revealed that kidnappers “position their operational vehicle by the roadside pretending to be out for commercial services, with about four members of the gang posing as passengers in the vehicle. In view of this development, the Police Command strongly advises that passengers, especially those on an inter-state journey should board vehicles from designated motor parks.
In light of the insecurity in the state, the Police has also advised students of tertiary intuitions, especially off-campus students, to be more security conscious and avoid keeping late hours.
