LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND RAIDS HIDEOUTS, ARRESTS 720 SUSPECTS

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 720 criminal suspects in the State.


The suspects were arrested on Sunday, November 15, at about 7am, after operatives of the State's command carried out a raid on hideouts believed to be harbouring criminals and hoodlums in the State.




Some of the items and substances recovered by the Police Operatives include; locally-made guns and life cartridges, charms, weed suspected to be Indian hemp, substances suspected to be cocaine and some items suspected to have been looted from various shopping outlets within the state during the recent #Endsars violence.

Hakeem Odumosu, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, had earlier ordered police officers to move against lawlessness and criminality in the State.


The Police Boss, who affirmed the zeal of the command to sustain the operations, said he has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of SCID, panti, to commence discreet investigation on the arrested suspects for immediate prosecution.



Odumosu also urged those whose items were looted during the recent #Endsars violence in the State to come up for claims of their items with proof of ownership. 


He applauded the police personnel for the successful operation, and charged them to be at alert for more operations across the State.
