LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND WARNS AGAINST ANY PROTEST OR GATHERING IN THE STATE

The Lagos State Police Command has warned against any violent Protest or gathering in the State.

This warning comes on the heels of reports stating that some individuals and groups are planning to commence a violent protest, a replica of the #ENDSARS demonstrations that escalated and led to loss of lives and destruction of properties.

In a statement by Muyiwa Adejobi, the State's police PRO, the command gathered that some individuals and groups have finalized plans to protest at specific locations in Lagos on Monday, December 7.

The Police PRO reiterated the command's commitment and steadfastness to the security of lagosians and said the State Government is still 'nurturing the wounds orchestrated by the violent #Endsars protesters.'

He noted that the command warns all individuals planning this action to desist as security operatives would be on alert to foil their schemes.

Adejobi also warned parents and guardians to ensure their children and wards are not lured into any act, gathering, or protest capable of creating violence in the State.
