TROOPS OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE AIR TASK FORCE DESTROYS BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS’ LOGISTICS STORES IN BORNO STATE

The Nigerian troops of Operation Lafiya Dole on Monday 19, destroyed the settlement where Boko Haram terrorists house their fuel and other logistics in Njimia on the fringes of the Sambisa Forest, Borno State. 


The operation was successfully done by the Air Task Force who “scored accurate hits in their bombing runs on the target area, completely obliterating the logistics stores as well as causing damage to several other BHT structures in the settlement,” the Defence Head Quarters said in a statement released on Wednesday, May 20.

According to the statement, the location was identified following credible intelligence reports as well as a series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.


The Chief of the Air Staff commended the Air Task Force for their professionalism and directed them to remain resolute towards eradicating the terrorists from the North East.
