MINISTERS OF DEFENCE AND PERMANENT SECRETARY STORM NDA 33RD CONVOCATION CEREMONY
The Hon Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni; The Hon Min of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle MON, and Perm Sec, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana are in attendance at the 33rd Convocation Ceremony of the Nigeria Defence Academy in Honour of Cadets of 70 Regular Course, Postgraduate Students, and Honorary Degree Awardees.
Also in attendance are the the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen CG Musa; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lgabaja; the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, and the NDA Commandant, Maj Gen JO Ochai The Hon Minister of Defence and the Chairman, NDA Governing Council, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni, has conferred Honors to graduating Cadets, and Postgraduate Celebrants.
Badaru, as the Chairman of NDA Governing Council also conferred Honorary Degrees to former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Martin Luther Agwai CFR (Rtd) as well as Barr Allen Ifechukwu Onyeama CON, the Chairman/CEO of Air Peace.
The Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen Kashim Shettima GCON, represented by the Hon Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON, mni said “We are very proud of the Nigerian Defence Academy for its consistent role in producing officers with broad-based training in both military and academic subjects designed to serve as a foundation for the future progressive development of officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces. There is no doubt that the Academy remains a vital institution in Nigeria's defence and security architecture, therefore its graduates will continue to play a crucial role in ensuring the country's security and prosperity.
