MRS FLORENCE AJIMOBI DID NOT OFFEND ME - OYO DEPUTY GOVERNOR
Oyo State Deputy Governor, Engr Remi Olaniyan, has said he is not offended by Mrs Florence Ajimobi, wife of the Late former Oyo State Governor.
Recall that Mrs Florence's outburst against the Deputy Governor during her husband's death and funeral sparked controversy and drama across the media space.
The Deputy Governor said she only spoke and acted out of grief and distress which should not be regarded as an offence.
Olaniyan said this in his Ibadan home on Saturday during the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir.
He said; "Mrs Ajimobi did not offend me in the first place. She was grieving at the time and, in that state, could do anything that is considered as abnormal. So, I understand fully."
Mrs Ajimobi, who lost her husband, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, due to COVID-19 complications on June 25th, 2020, has expressed disappointment at the Deputy Governor when he visited their Oluyole, Ibadan home to sympathize with her few days after the former Governor's death.

She lamented that Olaniyan did not call her to commiserate with her despite serving the state for eight years.
Recall that on the burial day, Olaniyan's convoy was also denied access into the building.
"When I saw the behaviour of the men around the house that day, I told my security aides that nobody must touch anybody. I said they must keep their heads when others are losing theirs," the Deputy Governor said.
He added that they have spoken after the incident and have moved on.
