NAF AIRSTRIKES KILL SCORES OF BOKO HARAM IN BORNO COMMUNITIES, DESTROY CAMPS
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has killed several Boko Haram insurgents and destroyed their hideouts at Kote Kura and Bulama Isamari in Borno State, the Northeastern region of the country.
The air strikes were executed on Saturday, January 2, 2021, employing force packages of NAF fighter jets and helicopter gunships.
The operations were conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE based on credible intelligence reports indicating that the Insurgents had recently established camps at the 2 settlements, where they store their logistics items as well as plan and launch attacks.

Subsequently, the NAF deployed its aircraft to Kote Kura, engaged the assailants, leading to the death of several of them as well as the destruction of structures and logistics stores, some of which were seen engulfed in flames.
In the same vein, at Bulama Isamari, within the Timbuktu Triangle, the NAF aircraft took turns in engaging the target, scoring accurate hits which equally resulted in the killing of several Boko Haram fighters.
The successful onslaught on Boko Haram fighters comes four days after the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) killed several criminals at the South Region in the heart of the Sambisa forest in Borno State.

The air strike was conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on Monday, December 28.
The Sambisa forest is known to be used by the Boko Haram Insurgents as logistics base as well as staging area to launch attacks.
