NASS APPOINTS PATRICK GIWA AS CLERK OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
After serving in an acting capacity for two years, the National Assembly Service Commission has established the appointment of Patrick Giwa as the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
His appointment was announced by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila today in Abuja.
Giwa was appointed Acting Clerk of the House on November 26th, 2018
The National Assembly Service Commission was recently reconstituted by President Muhammadu Buhari.
His confirmation, which came along with some Permanent Secretaries of the National Assembly, is the first official assignment carried out by the new commission headed.
Patrick Giwa was born on November 25th, 1960. He started his civil service career in 1987.
He rose to become the Deputy Clerk before his recent appointment as the Clerk of the House of Representatives.
Giwa is revered for his skills as a highly efficient and resourceful bureaucrat and legislator.
