NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS TO HOLD NATIONWIDE PROTEST
The National Association of Nigerian students NANS says it would stage a nationwide protest over the Federal Government's continuous closure of schools.
The protest is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, August 19.
This was revealed in a memo sent to all student union groups in the nation's higher institutions by NANS Senate President, Ibrahim Muhammed Lawal on Friday, August 14.
Recall that the government shutdown all schools in the country in March as a measure to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Recently, the government permitted students in exit classes to resume schools so as to write their promotional examinations.
Religious institutions, markets, non-contact sports, and domestic flights have been opened with International flight operations resuming on August 29.
