NIGERIAN ARMY KILL SCORES OF BOKO HARAM INSURGENTS IN BORNO, RECOVER AMMUNITION

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday killed several Boko Haram insurgents around the Bama/Izza/Rann/Gwagwamdu axis of Borno State.


The successful Operation was carried out by Troops of Operation Tura Takaibango with close air support from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets.



It was gathered that the troops recovered several ammunition such as guntruck and motorcycles.



This successful operation comes less than one week after Troops of Operation Tura Takaibango inflicted heavy casualties on Boko Haram insurgents in their hideouts in Sambisa forest and the Gorgore axis of Borno State.

Recall that Boko Haram on Tuesday killed 5 soldiers and abducted about 10 electrical engineers working along the Maiduguri- Damaturu road in Borno State. 


On Sunday February 7, Eons Intelligence reported that the insurgents ambushed Nigerian troops protecting ongoing road construction works on Goniri-Kafa road in Borno State.
