NIGERIAN SOLDIERS KILL 41 BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS IN BORNO COMMUNITY, RESCUE 60 CAPTIVES AND RECOVER AMMUNITION

The Nigerian Army on Monday killed about 41 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, and rescued 60 captives in Gamboru village, Borno State.




The successful operation was carried out by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole.




It was gathered that the troops, who were on patrol along Gulwa and Musuri in Gamboru Ngala LGA of Borno State, sighted the insurgents and engaged them in a gun duel for about 45 minutes.




The soldiers ultimately neutralized 41 insurgents and rescued 60 elderly women and children who were in the terrorists’ captivity.



Items recovered from the terrorists include; 12 AK47 rifles, 8 Fabric Nationale (FN) rifles, a motorcycle, 6 bicycles, mechanic tool boxes, a sewing machine, large quantity of batteries used for making of Improvise Explosive Devices and sex enhancement drugs.



Recall that the Nigerian Army on Saturday killed several Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists operating in Lake Chad and Tumbus, destroying their gun trucks and recovering ammunition in the process.
