Bandits on Sunday killed nine persons, injured six others, and abducted several commuters on the Kaduna - Birnin Gwari road.
It was gathered that the victims were on their way for a ceremony at Doka, Birnin-Gwari Local Government, when the bandits ambushed them.
The number of abducted persons cannot be ascertained but sources say about 11 residents of Dan Kungi village in Birnin Gwari LGA who embarked on the journey are currently missing.
In recent months, the Kaduna-Birni Gwari road has been a dreaded spot for banditry attacks accompanied with kidnappings, killings, cattle rustling, and armed robbery.
On Saturday, January 2, Eons Intelligence reported that security operatives killed scores of bandits terrorising the Kaduna-Birni Gwari road.
