BREAKING: BOKO HARAM KILLS SEVERAL PERSONS IN FRESH ATTACKS ON CAMEROON COMMUNITIES

Fighters of Boko Haram sect have killed over three persons in Kaliari,Nguetchewe, Mayo-Moskota in the Far North Region of Cameroon.


Source says the insurgents attacked the communities in the early hours of Monday, January 4.


Boko Haram launched a bloody insurgency in 2009 in northeastern Nigeria prompting a military response. The sect later spread its atrocities to neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon rustling cattle and unleashing mayhem on citizens.

The Boko Haram Insurgents killed two shepherds and stole a large number of their cows in Girballa village on September 10, 2020.


A month earlier, the Jihadists killed at least 18 civilians and injured 11 at Nguetchewe village in Cameroon.

More than 30,000 people have been killed and nearly 3 million displaced in a decade of Boko Haram's terrorist activities in Nigeria, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.


According to the UN Refugee Agency, violence committed by Boko Haram has affected over 26 million people in the Lake Chad region and displaced 2.6 million persons.
