BOKO HARAM GAIN ACCESS INTO CAMEROON'S POLITICAL AND BUSINESS LEADERS
Authorities in Cameroon's far North region on Friday said that Boko Haram terrorists has gained access into the country's political and business leaders.
Midjiyzawa Bakari, the Governor of Cameroon's far North region, revealed that he has concrete proof indicating that the terrorists are in consistent communication, and have also established strong ties in the country's political and business ecosystem.
Bakari says security reports also indicate that Boko Haram allies supply food and money to the terrorists for procurement of ammunition.
The Governor did not reveal how many people have been arrested for communicating with the terrorist sect. However, media reports in Cameroon last week said that the military arrested a former member of the parliament, Blama Malla, for establishing ties with Boko Haram.
Malla, who is a member of President Biya's People’s Democratic Movement party, is accused of supplying cattle and money to the terrorists.

Malla was arrested after his cousin, a member of a local militia in the border town of Kolofata, was seen conveying cattle to a Boko Haram camp. It was learnt that he confessed that Malla Blama ordered him to make the supplies.
The Cameroonian Government is yet to issue an official statement but security experts in the country say the military is intensifying intelligence to arrest every accomplice associated with the terrorists and warned civilians to be on alert.
Col. Didier Bajeck, a security specialist and former Cameroon defense spokesperson, urged Cameroonians to inform the military of the presence of strangers in their communities.
