Oyeyemi said the event may result in bloodshed and mass destruction of properties.

The Police spokeswoman said the Force is warning those having such devilish plan to have a rethink and retrace their steps as such move will be met with strong resistance from security agencies.

He noted that all the command's tactical squads including SARS, anti-cultists, anti-kidnapping, as well as DPOs and Area Commanders have been put on red alert to neutralise any act capable of sabotaging the security of the State.

"The full weight of the law will descend on any unlawful societies who intends to use public places to perpetuate evil, as the Command will not fold its hands while some misguided and unscrupulous elements attempt to make life difficult for law abiding citizens of the State," The Police Spokesperson said.

He appealed to parents and guardians to steer clear of any unlawful gathering or society.

Oyeyemi added that hoteliers should not allow their facilities to be used for any cult-related gathering as owners of such facilities would be prosecuted.
