Operation Hadin Kai: Troops Disrupt Terrorist Logistics, Record Gains in Northeast
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in synergy with the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters, have intensified offensive operations aimed at crippling terrorist logistics networks across the Northeast, recording significant achievements between July 15 and 22, 2025.
The sustained operations led to the disruption of multiple supply routes in Adamawa and Borno States. Seven suspected logistics suppliers were apprehended, with seizures including motorcycles, food items, fuel, hard drugs, and communication devices. Troops also executed precision raids and ambushes in Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga Local Government Areas, successfully neutralizing several terrorists and thwarting planned attacks.
Among notable arrests was a suspect in possession of unauthorized Starlink internet equipment, and another caught with large quantities of narcotics. Troops also recovered arms, improvised explosive device (IED) components, and high-grade communication equipment.
In Bama LGA, ten family members of terrorists surrendered voluntarily to troops, further weakening insurgent networks. Additionally, on July 22, a major interception near Gamboru uncovered advanced supplies and high-tech devices being smuggled for terrorist use.
The Chief of Army Staff commended the troops for their resilience and operational success, reaffirming the Nigerian Army’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and restoring lasting peace across the region.
