POLICE BEGIN PROBE ON GBAGADA INCIDENT THAT CLAIMED 2 LAWMA WORKERS' LIVES

The Lagos State Police Command has initiated their investigation into the role of the officers of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) in the death of two workers of the State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) in the Gbagada area, Lagos State.

Recall that EONS INTELLIGENCE on 13th November 2023 reported how a vehicle driver that was trying to evade the arrest of the LASTMA officials rammed and killed two workers of LAWMA around the Gbagada area on their duty post.

Thereupon, the driver of the vehicle turned in to police on 13th November 2023 and was taken to custody for arraignment of manslaughter after refusing to give the identity of the victims.

The LASTMA officers along the Gbagada Expressway were however not involved in the incident as they were discharging their duties accordingly before the vehicle driver violated the traffic law that cost the lives of the LAWMA workers.

Meanwhile, the operatives of police situated at Pedro, Gbagada had recovered the accident vehicle to aid further and proper investigation of the incident.
