POLICE COMMENCE INVESTIGATION INTO KILLING OF APC CHIEFTAIN IN ONDO

The Police Command in Ondo state has begun investigation into the murder of the All Progressives Congress APC chieftain, Hon. Bamidele Isibor in Ondo state.


Hon. Isibor was killed by bandits on his way from Imoru to Ifon , where he had gone for political matter, on Saturday.


The Police Public Relations, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the incident to via a telephone call, said “Yes, it's true that he was killed, and Investigation is ongoing.”

It was gathered that he later died on Monday and the news of the incident was disclosed on Tuesday by the Ondo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress.


The party had in a statement by its Publicity Secretary Mr Alex Kalejaiye, Isibor, said that he died as a result of gunshot injury he sustained during the attack of the bandits. He was aged 62.


“The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress regrets strongly the death of one of its members, Hon. Bamidele Emmanuel Isibor. He was 62 years old,” the statement read.


“Until his demise, Hon. Isibor, a retired top civil servant, and father of five, was a member of the State Executive Committee of the party.
