POLICE DISCLAIM OWNERSHIP OF FACEBOOK PAGE IMPERSONATING THE IGP

The Nigeria Police Force has disclaimed affiliation with a Facebook page impersonating the Police IG, Abubakar Adamu Muhammed".

 

This is contained in a tweet by the Nigerian Police Force, on Wednesday, May 6.

 

It says that the handler of the Facebook page claims to be working in collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service auctioning impounded vehicles to interested members of the public.


 



The Nigeria Police Force firmly emphasized that the Facebook page does not belong to Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, NPM, mni. Adding that the Inspector General of Police does not have a personal Facebook account and the "ACP MIKE UZUOMAH" mentioned in the post is not a Police Officer.

 

"Members of the public are advised to disregard this publication for it is not just fake but also mischievous and aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of the public," the police Tweeted.

 

"We want to assure the public that this fraudster and impostor will soon be arrested and made to face the riguor of the law."
