POLICE NAB SUSPECTED POLITICAL THUGS TERRORISING SOKOTO METROPOLIS
Operatives of Sokoto State Police Command have arrested 10 suspected political thugs terrorising Sokoto metropolis.
Information available indicates that the raid was conducted in a synergy of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security and the police in Kangiwa square and Hubbare area of Sokoto.
The arrest was succeeded following the directives of the state commissioner of police through the area commander to the DPOs to launch invasions on areas prone to harbouring thugs, most importantly the campaign offices, party offices, and residents of some politicians ensuring not to create any space for thugs to function in the state.
Meanwhile, weapons, charms and drugs were confiscated from the suspects.
