POLICE REPEL TERRORISTS ATTACK, NEUTRALIZE ONE, RESCUE FIVE ABDUCTED WOMEN IN KATSINA
The operative of the Kaduna state police command on Sunday 14 May 2023 at about 2200hrs, received a distress call that terrorists-bandits, on motorcycles, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Bajinawa village, Dutsinma LGA and kidnapped five (5) women.
The operatives mobilized to Tashar Icce, a suspected route/black spot, engaged the hoodlums into a fierce gun duel and successfully repelled them. In the course of scanning the scene, one member of the terrorist gang was neutralized.
The police team also recovered one AK 47 rifle and rescued all the kidnap victims. Many terrorists are reasonably believed to have escaped the scene with gunshot wounds. Search parties are still combing the area with a view of arresting the injured and/or neutralized bandits.
