POLICE RESCUE CLERIC FROM KIDNAPPERS, ARREST TWO IN EBONYI STATE
The operatives of Ebonyi State Police Command on Sunday 23rd April 2023 rescued one Reverend Nicodemus Ude of the Nigeria Reformed Church from his kidnappers at Edufu-Egbu, Ishieke of Ebonyi LGA, Ebonyi State.
Following a distress call received by the police operatives, the Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State, Faleye Olaleye, mobilized his tactical team while the divisional police officer of Ebonyi Division condoned and barricaded marked-out areas.

The police intercepted the kidnappers along Ndofia, Ishieke, and Edupfu Egbu, Ishieke where they engage with the operatives in a gun duel. The police firepower overwhelmed the kidnappers which caused the death of one among them while the other two principal suspects were nabbed.
Meanwhile, the victim was rescued unhurt while two AK-47 and one LAR rifle, as well as two vehicles including that of the victim, were recovered.
