POLICE RESCUE SUSPECTED ROBBERS FROM ANGRY MOB IN LAGOS

Operatives of the Lagos State police command on Wednesday rescued two suspected armed robbers at Sabo community in the Ikorodu area of the State.


The suspects, Quadri Giwa and Gbolahan Adebowale, were initially caught by vigilant residents of the community before being handed over to the police.


Eons Intelligence gathered that the suspected criminals were rescued from being lynched by an angry mob from Sagamu Road.

A pistol was recovered from the suspects during their arrest.


Muyiwa Adejobi, Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State confirmed the arrest. 


While assuring residents of adequate security, Adejobi said that the command will not leave any stone unturned to make Lagos safe.

Meanwhile, Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police in the State has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the state CID for proper investigation.
