PRESIDENT BUHARI COMMISSERATES WITH THE MEDIA INDUSTRY OVER LOSS OF WAHEED BAKARE

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Media Industry and Nigerian Union of Journalists over the death of Waheed Bakare, Editor-In-Chief of the New Telegraph Newspapers.


 

This was made known by the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, via his official Twitter Handle.


Ahmad tweeted; ‘’President @MBuhari commiserates with the media industry, particularly Nigeria Union of Journalists and Nigeria Guild of Editors, over the passing of the Saturday Editor of New Telegraph Newspapers, Mr. Waheed Bakare.’’


Bakare, who was formerly with The Punch, and was a regular feature on Television Continental (TVC) Journalists hangout died from an illness on Sunday.


According to his brother, Bakare succumbed to an illness he battled in the last two weeks.
