PROTESTERS SET POLICE PATROL VEHICLE ABLAZE IN KATSINA STATE
Some protesters on 4th July 2023 at about 1300hrs set ablaze a vehicle belonging to the Traffic Division of the Katsina State Police Command at Kofar Guga, Katsina metropolis, Katsina State.
The information available indicates that the traffic police personnel tried to stop a motorcyclist over a traffic offence on the road, but he quickly jumped off his motorcycle and ran away.
Thereupon, a lorry crushed the motorcycle which triggered the anger of onlookers who felt the motorcyclist could have been crushed if he didn’t run away quickly.
Consequently, the issue resulted in a protest and cause the burning of the police patrol vehicle.
Meanwhile, Eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the incidents.
