SECURITY OPERATIVES NAB TWO NARCOTICS DEALERS IN ADAMAWA
Security operatives have arrested two narcotics dealers in the Dalakiji area, Toungo LGA of Adamawa State.
They were arrested by a special security outfit recently re-invigorated by the Adamawa State Police Commissioner, CP Aliyu Alhaji, to check cross border banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes in the State.
The suspects were apprehended through intelligence-led and community-led collaborative partnerships with vigilantes and hunter groups.
In a statement issued by the Adamawa State Police PRO, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, large quantities of Indian hemp and two motorcycles used for their operations across Adamawa and Taraba were recovered.

He said; “The Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Alhaji, reinvigorated the special security action plan to reinforce the ongoing fight against banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes across the border areas. The new special operation strategy, which will be intelligence-led and community-driven around the border areas, is aimed at re-dominating and reclaiming the public space from criminals that are bent on threatening security in the state and bringing the offenders to book.
“In line with operations of the outfit, all Divisional Police officers, have been mandated to check crimes in their domain, the Divisional Police Officer, Toungo immediately swung into action and luckily apprehended both men. Ibrahim Audu, 31 years and Alkasim Musa, 32 both residents of Ganye. Both dealers who were smuggling large cache of cannabis into the state through Dakalaji, Taraba border, Kiri District on 16/8/2021, thereby denying them their target consumers that are mostly into violent crimes.’’
