SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS YAHAYA BELLO AS KOGI GOVERNOR
The Supreme Court on Monday, August 31 upheld the victory of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.
A seven-man panel led by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko dismissed the appeal filed by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the election, Musa Wada based on "lack of merit."
The apex court affirmed that the PDP neither proved that Governor Bello did not secure the highest vote nor did the party provide evidence of electoral malpractices during the election.
