TANKER EXPLOSION AVERTED IN LAGOS.

The Lagos State Fire Service (LSFS) has averted a possible fire outbreak from a 45000 Litres Petrol-laden articulated vehicle along the Lagos State University, Igando Expressway, Village Bus Stop, Lagos.


The Acting Head of the Fire Agency, Mrs Margaret Adeseye, who revealed this on Friday said disclosed that there service received an emergency call earlier in the day at 7am.


"On arrival at the scene, the firefighters discovered fuel leakage on a 45000 litres ladem Mazda tanker, with registration number AAA 198 XZ."


"The Tankerewas conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from Apapaeto Agbarae. The firefighters, however, neutralised the potency of the content and averted another potential fire outbreak", She said."


Adeseye said that despite the lockdown, almost all fire related emergencies had been successfully contained and managed.
