TANZANIAN AUTHORITIES DEPORT OVER 900 MOZAMBICANS WHO FLED VIOLENCE IN CABO DELGADO
Tanzanian authorities have deported more than 900 Mozambican nationals who fled violence in the northernmost province of Mozambique, Cabo Delgado's province state secretary Mr Armando Ngunga has said.
“More than 900 refugees in Tanzania started to be compulsorily moved to Mozambique, it is a coordinated repatriation”, Mr Armando Ngunga told DW Radio on Monday evening.
The comes as Eons Intelligence reports ISIL-linked assailants beheaded about 50 persons and abducted several women in several villages in northern Mozambique.
The Mozambican government is yet to officially react to the expulsion of its nationals from Tanzania.
