Troops Neutralize 21 Terrorists in Katsina During Clearance Operation
Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation Fagge San Yamma, recorded a major breakthrough on May 23, 2025, after successfully raiding terrorist enclaves in Ruwan Godiya, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The operation, described as daring and well-coordinated, led to a fierce firefight that forced the terrorists to flee their base. In the course of the pursuit, 21 terrorists were neutralized—several of whom drowned while attempting to escape through a nearby river.
The troops also recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition, including rifles, magazines, explosives, communication gadgets, mobile phones, and motorcycles.
Military authorities confirmed that mop-up and exploitation operations are ongoing, with more details expected to be released in due course.
