TROOPS RESCUE KIDNAPPED VILLAGERS IN ZAMFARA STATE
Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji on 17th July 2023 rescued about 40 kidnapped villagers from their abductors in Kyairu/Kyaram and Alkama villages, Bukkuyum LGA, Zamfara State.
The information available indicates that the Troops deployed to Bukkuyum Local Government Area were intelligently alerted of the illegal activities of the bandits in Kyairu/Kyaram and Alkama villages.
Consequently, the troops immediately mobilised the fighting patrol and established blocking positions around the bandits’ withdrawal routes from the villages.
On sighting the troops, the kidnappers engaged them in a gun duel which lasted for hours but were overwhelmed by the troops and fled the scene abandoning their victims.
Meanwhile, the rescued kidnapped victims have reunited with their families while 10 of the victims were handed over to the Sarkin Gwashi to connect the victims with their respective families.
