Two separate gang leaders of a notorious syndicate of bandits have repented and surrendered 10 AK 47 rifles to the Katsina State Police Command.

The gang leaders identified as Sale Turwa, 30, and Muhammed Sani Maidali, 33, repented and surrendered their ammunition after persistent pressure and actionable intelligence from the operatives of the Katsina Police Command.

The suspects were said to be the head of a group of bandits terrorizing Katsina State. They both hail from Illella village, Safana Local Government Area of the State.

The State's Police PRO, Isah Gambo, who confirmed the development, said the suspects surrendered to the police around 10am on Wednesday, November 4, and noted that investigations are ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate.
