UPDATE: Enugu Shuts Down Borders and Markets.
The Enugu state Government has ordered the closure of all land borders and all inter-state transportation till further notice.
The Secretary to the state Government, Prof Simon Ortuanya disclosed this and the order takes effect from 6pm, March 31st, 2020.
All markets in the state has also been ordered to close down, with exception of those selling food items, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and other basic items of domestic need. Ortuanya said, ''All Local Government Chairmen are hereby directed to ensure strict compliance with the closure of the markets within their respective councils.''
This is following the confirmation of two COVID-19 cases in the state this morning.
