US AIRFORCE COLLABORATES WITH NIGERIA AIRFORCE ON MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT
The United States Mission in Nigeria, on Tuesday welcomed colleagues from the Inter-European Air Forces Academy as they launched the Inter-European Aviation Safety Program Management (IEASPM) course in Abuja, Nigeria.
Twenty four students from the Nigerian Armed Forces, drawn from the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters are participating in the programme, with technical support from the United States Airfoce.
The IEASPM course, upon completion is expected to contribute to focused development of a common safety culture and a cadre of Aviation safety professionals who together can continually improve the safety of air operations in the African theater.
The course supports U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces in Africa as well as the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) objectives.
IEAFA also provides a worldclass education, furthers regional stability through partnership.
It is also meant to develop human capital to enhance safety, security, and stability in Africa, all in a bid to making all stakeholders become militarily stronger together.
