YOBE INDEX COVID-19 PATIENT DISCHARGED, SAYS TEST RESULTS WEREN'T SHOWN TO HIM

The index COVID-19 patient in YOBE has been discharged.



The patient, who is a 29-year-old banker, said he was discharged on Friday at about 4.00 pm and reunited with his family.


The banker who was excited to leave the isolation centre after more than 2 weeks, said although he was well at the Isolation centre, none of the results of his tests was shown to him.



"None of my tests results was shown to me. I did not see any of them, both the one I was positive and the one I was negative. As they talk am say I get am, na so they talk am say I no get again and they say go home, and I say thank God," he revealed.

The Index case was reported on April 30th.  


According to the NCDC, Yobe has recorded 32 cases of Covid-19.


Of the 32 cases, 3 have been discharged, and 1 death has been recorded.
