NIGERIAN ARMY KILL SEVERAL BANDITS, RECOVER RUSTLED LIVESTOCK IN KATSINA AND ZAMFARA
The Nigerian Army has killed several bandits in separate encounters at Katsina and Zamfara.
On Saturday, January 9, troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI killed about 50 armed bandits in Kuriya village of Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara State following credible intelligence.
During the encounter, four soldiers sustained severe injuries, and 272 livestock were recovered from the bandits.
In the same vein, troops deployed at Dunya village of Danmusa LGA of Katsina State while on routine patrol recovered 62 rustled livestock from rustled bandits who fled into a bush on sighting the soldiers.
This comes barely 72 hours after the Nigerian Army destroyed one of the strongest enclaves of ISWAP fighters located in Gorgore forest killing several Jihadists in the process.
