RETIRED NIS OFFICER, THREE OTHERS ABDUCTED IN ABUJA

A retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Abdulahi Rakieu and three other persons have been abducted in the Tungan Maje area of Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.


Eons Intelligence gathered that the kidnappers who were dressed in military camouflage stormed the area around midnight on Sunday, shot sporadically before gaining access into the victims' residence.


Eyewitness accounts reveal that the operation lasted for about three hours before the victims were whisked away.

According to the source, "They kidnapped an immigration officer, his wife and another member of his family with one Mr. Olushola Agun, all in the same location along Bethel Road. The gunshots were better imagined as they were shooting sporadically for three hours.


"In all, they took four people, one from the first house and three from another."


Recall, in October 2020, about 20 persons were abducted in Tunga Maje when some kidnappers stormed the area.


On Wednesday, gunmen abducted a Punch journalist identified as Okechukwu Nnodim and two sons of a widow from their homes in the Arab Road area of Kubwa, Abuja but was released on Sunday.


Bandits, on 23rd January 2021, abducted at least seven orphans and three workers in an orphanage in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.


The incessant attacks involving killings and abductions show that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is no more safe despite being the nation's seat of power.
