ARMED MEN ATTACK MOTHER, CHILD IN OYO STATE
A woman identified as Mrs. Adeola Bamidele, 45, and her daughter, Dolapo Bamidele, 23, has been attacked by unknown armed men in Alaja community, Moniya, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The victims were said to be asleep when the assailants stormed into their residence around 1am, Monday morning.
The armed men inflicted serious injuries on the victims and carted two mobile phones away.
Sources say the hoodlums had earlier visited a nearby house but left as they could not gain entry into the building.
Adeola revealed that she was attacked with a machete on her head while trying to rescue her daughter, who had already collapsed and was soaked in the pool of her own blood.

It was learnt that the Alaja Community Landlords’ Association had reported the incident at the Moniya Police Division.
The Police spokesperson in the state, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said security operatives were deployed to the scene from the Moniya Police Division, but the hoodlums had fled before their arrival.
Fadeyi said the victims have been taken to hospital for treatment, while investigation has commenced to nab the assailants.
