WE ARE TIRED OF FAILED PROMISES - ORGANISED LABOUR GROUP TELLS GOVERNOR WIKE
The Organised Labour in Rivers State has said that workers in Rivers State are tired of failed promises by the Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration.
The group which comprises of both the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union said it wants Wike's Government to pay the national minimum wage and arrears from April 2019.
The Labour group said the proposed employment of 10,000 teachers in the State never became a reality.
The Organised Labour is demanding payment of outstanding arrears of February 2016 and October 2017, payment of pensions and gratuity to retirees, revival of N100m workers revolving housing/car loan scheme, open and fair recruitment info the public service, and termination of all contract appointments to allow career progression in the public service.
