POLICE RESCUE 15 KIDNAP VICTIMS, RECOVER 32 RUSTLED COWS IN KADUNA


Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have rescued 15 kidnap victims in the Birnin Gwari local government area of the state. 

The victims were ambushed by heavily armed bandits on Saturday while traveling along the Buruku Gwari road, around the Ungwan Yako forest but were saved by the timely intervention of the police who engaged the criminals in a gunfight and forced them to retreat and flee into the forest, abandoning their victims.

All the occupants of the vehicles were rescued unhurt except for the two drivers Rufai Samaila and Bala Shehu who sustained injuries.

Names of the rescued passengers as provided by the police are: Salaha Abdulsalam, Muhammad Yusuf, Fatima Saidu, Aisha Abdullahi, Firdausi Rabiu, Sakina Yakubu, Basiru Murtala, Nasiru Umar, Nafiu Umar, Al-amin Yakubu, Ibrahim Rabiu, Nusaiba Rabiu, and Shafiu Yakubu.

Similarly, the Kaduna state police on Thursday, April 8 recovered 32 rustled cattle from bandits in the Kajuru local government area of the state. 

Following credible Intelligence on the activities of bandits around Dustin Gaya village, operatives swiftly went to the area and engaged the culprits in a fierce gun battle which resulted in the recovery of 32 rustled cattle.
