LATE TOLULOPE AROTILE’S FAMILY DEMAND INVESTIGATION ON THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH

The family of late Tolulope Arotile, Nigeria’s first female combat pilot, has demanded an investigation on the cause of Tolulope’s death.

Recall that the late combat pilot died in an accident on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020, at the age of 25.

The family has however come out to reject the accident theory of the Nigerian Air Force as the cause of her death.

Damilola Adegboye, Tolulope’s elder sister, told newsmen on Thursday that the family was devastated by her untimely death and had been wondering how a car that was reversing could kill her.

“We are not convinced that Tolu can die like that in a freak accident. I know that the military is well trained in the art of investigation; we want them to carry out a thorough investigation that can convince us beyond all doubts that the incident that led to her death was the truth,” Damilola said.

Damilola revealed that the day Tolulope died, she was sleeping when she received a call from a senior officer to come to the air force base.

Tolulope’s elder sister said she dropped her off and saw it online one hour later that she was dead.

“One hour later, I saw it online that something serious had happened to her. I couldn’t believe that somebody I just dropped off is dead,” She said.

Also speaking to newsmen, Tolulope’s mother described her daughter as a special child who liked to fast and pray.
